Into The Dark

“Oh! How poor I am? “ I threatened to myself by adding the fuel of horror in my blood, I climbed down the stairs of that huge structure. My waltzing legs were pointing towards the exit get, my mind was revolving around that huge structure, my eyes were taking the pictures of that huge structure and my dead mind was playing the future documentary whose film will never exists again.
“That huge structure, those crowds of people fascinated by it oh …….” My breath was even harder and harder. A fellow moved in front of my eyes. I gaze into its eye and saw the bright shining reflection whose light was clearly telling that I was in the dark. i.e. a dark body in front of the bright source. The smile in its face was splitting me into pieces and the fragments that may not rejoin again. It was haunting me in the noon and in under sunlight and the most different thing is that I was in the crowed. “Crowed, crowed…” I yelled. To throw myself away from that evil I snatched my vision to the opposite side. “Oops! Damn it” “a crowed” I glanced at some of their face. They were more bright and bright. I looked everywhere around. There were light and light. The bright rays were coming towards me from every side. I remembered the figure of rays in optics books and the one coming toward me where similar bright and pointy and like the arrows shooted as told in Mahabharat and Ramayan. They hurt me. I could see the red fluid oozing out of the wound and the pain and the pain….
The sound of the crowd was growing and growing, threatening me and trembling my little heart. My little heart was much vibrating that I supported it with my hands so that it will not escape away from my chest. Slowly and gradually my ears lose control and after sometime I began to fell vacant. “No emotion, no sense, no eagerness but only peace, only silence and the emptiness…………….”
After sometime a part of mine mind woke up and I was away from the crowed of people into the crowed of vehicles. “Thanks my leg for rescuing me from the blindness” I said to my leg. My eyes too stood up one step from the world of drowsiness and it sends an impulse in my mind. After processing it I found that ‘that huge structure’ was far away and I too found that some Hypnotized heads were moving toward that huge structure which I left and toward that huge structure which cursed me and burned me into ashes leaving behind a coal which leaves the black dark line as a mark with it in my forehead I move and move into the dark, into the hell and into the unseen black earth. I too know that some of those hypnotized heads will join me and they too will choose a way and a fight to dearm ourselves in the dark and to cry till the day comes and load the gun with bullet to carry and move in search of a new place larger than that of the huge structure.

Herta Mueller won the 2009 Nobel Prize in literature

For Mueller's work inspired by her life under Nicolae Ceausescu’s dictatorship in Romania ,who “with the concentration of poetry and the frankness of prose, depicts the landscape of the dispossessed.”

She was born in romania but fled to germany in1989.Her collection of short stories titled Niederungen, which was promptly censored by the Romanian government make first formal public appearance.
